Magazine creation production log

 This is my magazine production log of me creating my magazine. In creating my magazine, my ideas that I originally envisioned altered as I saw what ideas worked and what ones didn't. It is evident in my production log for my magazine that I altered my ideas and changed them as I went along and progressed in creating the design and layout for my final piece. I am very confident and happy in the professionalism and cool, music magazine flare I gave to my product.

Chosen Images

These are the final images I chose for my magazine. I chose these images as I wanted to use a variety of artists and locations to portray my magazines versatility regarding it's music artist content. The majority of my images are of my feature artist as this is a typical convention of music magazines and the remainder of the images are of artists that are also in my magazine that feature on the contents page. Some of the images I used are from social media sites such as Instagram and Twitter as I wanted to give the social media section a realistic feel as to the types of images there would be and also the same quality of the images. I am happy with the images I have chosen and I believe they will work well within my magazine.

Contact sheet/photoshoot

This is my contact sheet for my photoshoot. These are all of the photos I took within my photoshoot with my friend Lily Bartlett playing the solo R&B artist Sierra Banks. I believe these photos are varied and they successfully portray the character of the artist I was trying to get across as well as the style of my magazine.

This is an insight into the photoshoot I did for my magazine with the main artist Sierra Banks played by Lily Bartlett. This shows all of the different shots, poses, outfit changes and stances that I asked Lily to do in order to provide my magazine the best possible look to suit my high end magazine style, as well as the style of the artist I created.

Photoshoot Model Release

 

This is my magazine photo-shoot model release. This form states that Lily, my model, gives her permission for me to use the pictures I took of her in the photo-shoot within my magazine. This allows my magazine to look professional as models for official music magazines would be asked to do the same in order to declare their permission.

Equipment

This is a video of me discussing the equipment I used within the creation of my magazine. It explains the technical details of the camera I used and why I decided to use it. I found this equipment easy to use and thus easy to talk about as I had used it before when completing my GCSE media product.

Social media in my magazine

This is a video explaining the social media I plan to use within my magazine. In having this video it will hep me as I will be able to refer back to it for ideas on how to incorporate social media and it also gave me a good outline for the social media I should be using in my magazine in researching similar music magazines methods.
